Climate change is a global phenomenon, but local communities like Tempe, Arizona, are taking the lead in combatting its detrimental effects.
The City of Tempe and Arizona State University held a climate action forum at the college campus on Tuesday. The event featured boards with 12 possible actions to help Tempe cope with climate change and limit carbon emissions.
ASU students and faculty wrote on red and green sticky notes to express their views on the plans which included proposals to use green building materials, acquire electric vehicles among other ideas.
